Guidelines for an Interviewer

As an interviewer, you will receive an invitation e-mail to the interview from admin.mettl@mercer.com containing the details such as the candidate details, joining link along with the interview passcode.  

 
The invitation e-mail would be in the following format: 


On clicking upon the interview link at the time of the interview, you will be redirected to the following screen where you will have to enter the interview passcode you had received in the e-mail and verify the captcha. On verifying, click on Confirm.  


On proceeding further, you will be redirected to the Interview Lobby where you can view all the other participants who are a part of the interview along with their status (Invited or Joined). You can additionally configure your audio/video devices before joining the interview. Once all of this is done, go ahead and join the interview. 

 

Mentioned below are some of the features and functionalities that you can make use of during the interviewing experience:

  1. Audio/Video Call:  You will automatically be connected to the audio/video call as soon as you enter the interviewing experience. You can always click on the video button in the header to rejoin the video call with the participant(s). 
    The video call is equipped with screen-sharing capability, a Full-Screen mode as well as with other functionalities such as a Grid View and a Speaker View.

  1. Chat: Type in your message to have a chat with all the participants.

  1. Collaborative Tools: There are various tools provided in the interviewing experience over which the participants can collaborate.  
    Currently, we provide the support of a Code Editor, a Whiteboard and a Diagramming Tool.  
    The code editor supports a variety of 70+ programming languages along with capabilities to run your code with standard input/output capabilities.

  1. Invite-on-the-go: As an interviewer, you have the option to send reminders to the already invited participants as well as invite other participants via email or by sharing the open-link and passcode to the interview.  

  1. Interview Settings: As an interviewer, you have permission to configure certain settings such as Lock Interview, Allow Copy-Paste, Rename Task, Lock Task, Delete Task, Adjust Audio/Video Settings etc.

  2. Interviewer Guide: As an interviewer, you can access an Interviewer Guide if provided by your admin. With this guide, the interviewer will be able to access several guidelines, instructions to be followed during the course of the interview, as provided by their admin.

  1. Evaluation Panel: Rate the candidate on the basis of the competencies listed and provide comments on the same along with overall feedback and recommendation for the candidate. Panellists can also choose to skip providing feedback for a particular candidate by clicking on the option "Skip feedback for Candidate ?"

  1. Notes:  Add personal notes regarding the interview. 
    These notes are of personal use to every interviewer and are not visible to anyone else.

  1. Leave Interview: You have the option to exit the interview in between and come back later as the interview continues smoothly for all the other participants. 

  1. Finish Interview: In case you wish to end the interview for all participants, click on the Finish Interview button and finish the interview for all the participants.

EVALUATION SUBMISSION:

Once you have finished the interview and proceeded to submit the evaluation, you will be redirected to the evaluation submission page. You can choose to submit the candidate evaluation right after the interview or later as well by accessing the same interview link.  

  1. You are required to provide competency-wise feedback for the candidate. 
  1. Additionally, provide overall feedback and recommendation for the applicant.

  2. Email / Copy the entire evaluation for your reference.
  1. Grade the applicant based on their performance in the interview.

Finally, click on Submit button and submit your feedback.
