Creating an Assessment :
Kindly below the two different ways of creating assessments.
- For accounts having pre existing assessments.
- For new accounts having no assessment created yet.
Both the cases will lead you to the same next step that defines the newly created assessment.
Enter a name for your test in the “Test Name” field , select language and the purpose of the test and click “Proceed”.
Purpose of the test:
Purpose of the assessment means providing a valid information and meaning to the assessment that could be created like a use case on the target audience (candidates).
The purpose of the assessment can be selected from the drop-down menu.
This field display’s the language that will be used as a default language when the test is started.
Selecting the language will only change the “Defaults” or “Generic” navigate options available on the test window as shown in the below screenshot.
As Practice Session :
If you want to set the Assessment as a practice test, we need to click on the check box.
A practice test has few features as mentioned in the screenshot below.
Type the required skill name in the “Search and add skill to test field. Now select the relevant skill from the drop-down that appears. You may Add multiple skill sets in the same test.These skill set could be mettl's or your self content uploaded in the account.

Now, set the total duration of the test.
Click on Save and exit.
Candidate Performance Categories
While saving the assessment, we will have the option of Setting the performance categories.
Alternatively, you may click on “Later” if you want to set the same at later instance.
Performance categories helps in bifurcating the reports.
