Adding/Updating Mettl's Proctoring plugin on your browser

This article below describes how you can add the Mettl Proctoring plugin to your system to enable you to appear for an assessment.

If you don’t have the Mettl Proctoring plugin installed on your web browser, you’ll be unable to appear for the assessment.

Now, how do you add this plugin to your system?

Please follow the below-mentioned steps to add the Mettl Proctoring plugin to your system.

INSTALL Mettl Proctoring Plugin

Step 1: Open the Chrome Web Store.

Step 2: Click on the “Search the store” tab located on the top left of your screen.

Step 3: Type “Mettl Proctoring” on the tab to locate the extension.

Step 4: Mettl Proctoring extension will appear on your screen as shown below.

Step 5: Select and click on “Mettl Proctoring”. The screen would appear as shown below.

Step 6: Click on the “Add to Chrome” button located on the top right of your screen to add the extension to your system. The plugin will now ask for permission to add the “Mettl Proctoring” extension. Click on “Add extension” to approve.

Step 7: Mettl Proctoring extension has now been added to your system.

UPDATE Mettl Proctoring Plugin

To manually update the Mettl’s Proctoring plugin please take the following steps.

Step 1: Click on the three-dot icon in the top right corner of the browser. From the dropdown menu, select "Extensions" and then "Manage Extensions."

Step 2: Find the extension you want to update and toggle the switch next to it to enable "Developer mode." Click the "Update" button that appears next to the extension you want to update.

A new version of a Chrome extension generally gets automatically updated in about five to six hours. However, if that doesn't happen in your case, you can still follow the steps mentioned above to update them manually.
