Kasperkey's camera issue in Windows MSB 13

Some versions of Kaspersky security software block MSB from accessing your camera and microphone. You can allow MSB to access your camera and microphone using the settings in Kaspersky Internet Security or Total Security.

If you are using Kaspersky Endpoint Security, you can exclude MSB from scanning to prevent Kaspersky from blocking the camera and microphone. 

Kaspersky Internet Security 2015

  1. Open Kaspersky Internet Security 2015.
  2. Click Settings.
  1. Open Kaspersky Internet Security 2015.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click on Protection or Protection Center.
  4. Click Application Control.
  5. Click on Manage Applications.
  6. In the Application management window, drag and drop MSB to the Trusted group, or right-click on MSB, choose Restrictions and Select Trusted. 
  7. MSB should be able to access your webcam now.

Kaspersky Total Security or Internet Security (2018 or 2019)

1. Open Kaspersky Internet Security 2019.
2. Click the settings icon in the bottom left-corner.
3. Select the Protection tab.
4. Click Application Control.
5. Under Rules for applications, personal data protection, click Manage Applications.

6. Right click MSB, select Restrictions, and click Trusted.
7. MSB should be able to access your webcam now.
