1. In your account, click on My Questions tab.
   
2. In the ‘My Questions’ page, click on ‘Add Question’ and select ‘Checkbox Question’ from the drop down and then provide the 'Topic Name'.
   

1. On the question page, type in the question text and the related options. (The first two options are checked as default.)

1. Please select the correct answer by selecting the respective checkbox and then assign the relevant difficulty level.
2. To award the partial marks, select "Award Partial Marks" checkbox and feed the weightage accordingly and the total percentage must be 100%.
   
3. You can also restrict the maximum options the candidate can select. This can be enabled from the Award Partial Marks module, by choosing the correct number in the "Maximum answer selection" drop-down.
   

Note: We must assign the weightage in such a way that the sum of options should be equal to 100%. Weightage for individual options can vary between 0-100% as required.

Adding checkbox questions in bulk

1. Click on "My questions" in you account.
   
2. Now click on the upward arrow besides "Add Questions" and download the bulk upload template for "General questions."
   

You will now see a .xls file. The first sheet of the upload template is the ‘Instruction sheet' which is detailed manual to help you navigate the upload template. All the necessary steps are laid out for easy understanding, we suggest that you refer to it while using the template for the first time.

In the format downloaded, enter all your questions along with the following information (in the Checkbox sheet):

1. Topic: Enter the ‘Question Bank’ under which you want the question to be saved on the platform. Please note that one question can have only one topic name, however questions for varying topics can be uploaded simultaneously. (If the topic name already exists on the platform, the questions will be added to it. If the same does not exist, new topic will be created under “My Questions”.) 
2. Difficulty Level: Enter the appropriate difficulty level for the question (Easy, Medium, Difficult).
3. Question Text: Enter the respective text of the question. 
4. Answer Choice 1: The first answer option. 
   
5. Answer Choice 2: The second answer option.
   
6. Answer Choice 3(Optional): The third answer option.
   
7. Answer Choice 4(Optional): The fourth answer option.
   
8. Answer Choice 5(Optional): The fifth answer option. 
   
9. Correct Answer: Enter the choice index for the option that is correct. (Ex: Choice 1 or Choice 2, etc.) 
   
10. Answer Description (Optional): If you want the answer description to be a part of the report, enter the appropriate description. 

Checkbox with Partial Grading: You can also allocate partial marks to multiple options. In the format downloaded, enter all your questions along with the following information (in the Checkbox with partial grading sheet): 

Topic: Enter the ‘Question Bank’ under which you want the question to be saved on the platform. Please note that one question can have only one topic name, however questions for varying topics can be uploaded simultaneously. (If the topic name already exists on the platform, the questions will be added to it. If the same does not exist, new topic will be created under “My Questions.”) 

Do not use special characters while entering this field.   

Note:

1. In case there is any error in the file that is being uploaded, Platform will give an error file in which the error will be mentioned. Correct the mentioned error, in the original file (Do not use the error file) and upload again.
   
2. In case the error mentions “Invalid HTML Tags” Kindly replace all ‘<’ symbols with ‘&lt’ and ‘>’ symbols with ‘&gt’ for all question text and answer options and upload the file again.
   
3. All the text formatting, example: bold, italic, underline, sub-script, super-script, etc. Will be removed while uploading in bulk, this needs to be added later, on the platform for the required text.
