Enable Examine LTI in Blackboard

Blackboard Learn Ultra is simple, modern and intuitive.
This following video and the an article explains how you may enable Examine in your Blackboard Learn.



LTI Tool Setup

As a System Admin:
  1. Click Admin > Integrations> LTI Tool Providers > click "Register LTI 1.1 Provider“.

  1. Provider  Domain:
    1. lms.mettl.com (For India server)
    2. lms.mercermettl.eu (For EU server)
  2. Provider Domain Status: Approved.
  3. Default Configuration: Set globally.
  4. Tool Provider Key & Tool Provider Secret : To be shared by your Mercer | Mettl Account Manager.
  5. Send User Data: Send user data only over SSL.
  6. User Fields to Send: "Name", ”Roles in Course”, and "Email Address".
  7. Click "Submit" to save the entry.
  1.  You are returned to the LTI Tool Providers page. Hover your mouse pointer over the Provider Domain entry and click the arrow and then select Manage Placements.
  2. Click "Create Placement".
  3. Label: This is the name that appears to end-users in a course (example: Mettl Assessment).
  4. Description: You can add a description that students will see in their Tools menu.
  5. Handle: Enter a unique nickname for this placement (example: Assessment Launch).
  6. Type: Select Course Content Tool and check Allows Grading
  7. Tool Provider URL:
    1. https://lms.mettl.com/lti/launch (For India server)
    2. https://lms.mercermettl.eu/lti/launch (For EU server)
  8. Click "Submit" to save the placement.

Map an Assessment to a Course

  1. Click on a course. Then navigate to Books and Tools in left hand panel.



  1. Click on Browse all Available Partners and then go to Institution Tools. Click on Mercer | Mettl tool.



  1. Let us go ahead and edit this tool. Please edit the name, make the tool Visible to students and click on Create gradebook entry for this Item. Click on Save.



  1. Click on the tool and then on Login as Test Creator.



  1. Go ahead and Add an assessment to the course.



  1. Next, configure all the anti cheating settings suitable to you. Also, allow any additional Attempts to the candidates if required, Pass Percentage basis on which the student will be given the next attempt and the Cooldown Period between the consecutive attempts.


  1. Please click on Add to Course. The mapping is now complete.

Take the Assessment as a Candidate

  1. When the candidate launches the assignment, they are redirected to Mercer | Mettl assessment as shown.

                                    




The candidate will go ahead and complete the assessment.


View the Score of the Candidate

  1. Navigate to the course. Please click on Gradebook.



  1. Click on Students and then on to the Student Name.



  1. The student profile with their scores will appear as shown below.



  1. For additional details, please navigate to course and then click on assignment. Please Login as Support User and search by candidate's Email. You will be shown all the details along with the Report link for the candidate.
