To ensure the best proctoring measures are
implemented in our testing ecosystem and to strengthen the credibility of our
test taking process, a new feature of dual camera proctored test is being
introduced. This document will help in explaining the know-how of this new
feature and help you in understanding it better.
When a candidate is invited for an assessment, he/she would
receive an email containing a banner which explains the type of proctoring test
the candidate is to appear for.
A similar email is received by candidates when appearing for an
assessment using MSB. A warning label is added on the banner which states the
test can only be taken on Mettl Secure Browser (MSB).
The screen for system compatibility check looks like this as shown
below. The test taker is supposed to receive an email invitation to get his/her
system compatibility done prior to the assessment.
Next, test taker must scan a QR code to run system compatibility
and run through camera and microphone permission checks before test.
Pairing will
happen once test taker would give camera & microphone permission and click
on “Proceed” from mobile view screen on mobile device and click on “Proceed”
from test screen on Pair your mobile step.
The test taker would use mobile camera to scan QR code
from desktop screen. The test taker will then run through the device
compatibility check on mobile screen.
The test
taker will then give his/her consent by ticking the “I have read the above
instructions” check box and click on Proceed to run the device compatibility
test.
Device compatibility check test is now successful.
Test taker would give camera & microphone permission and select mobile camera preference front/back and proceed.
Mobile camera diagnostic for the test taker is now completed successfully.
Device compatibility check test is now successful.
The test taker will then give his/her consent by ticking the “I have read the above instructions” check box and click on Proceed to run the device compatibility test.
Test taker would give microphone permission and select mobile camera preference front/back and proceed.
A preview image is shown to the candidate to let him/her understand how to place the camera for a better view of the candidate’s test taking process by the proctor.

The test taker will carefully read the instructions and place mobile device 3 meter (10 feet) away. Placement instructions are provided on mobile and web both to ensure smooth execution by the test taker.
