Enabling and Using the Content Review Process

This article explains how to enable and use the Content Review Process in Mercer Mettl, including assigning permissions and configuring settings.

 

Three new permissions are introduced. Assign these to appropriate user roles:

QuestionReviewing: Allows users to review and mark questions as reviewed.

ShowAllPendingReviewQuestions: Allows users to view all questions still under review.

Content Review Process: Allows users to configure Content Review Process settings.




 

To begin using the Content Review Process:

  1. To enable content Review Process the Administrator or users with roles having the permission “Content Review Process” can navigate to the Global Setting and proceed by selecting the type of the process they want to configure for their account.The Content Review Process is available in the following modes:
    1. All: Allows review of questions by anyone with review permissions.
    2. Group Only: Allows you to create specific groups of users having review permission to review the questions. Please note to select Group Type, creation of one group is mandatory to enable the process.
    3. Users Only: Enables assigning specific users only which review permission to review questions, doesn’t allow anonymizing user’s identity.
  2. Once the process is enabled, creating a question would mandatorily require a reviewer(s) until unless All type is selected as it would notify and allow All the users having the permission to review question.
  3. As soon as the content is created the users/group referred to as content reviewers are notified according the process type.
  4. The content reviewer(s) getting notified have the provision to review by flagging and mentioning additional information which can then be resolved by the content author, creating a feedback loop until the content reviewer(s) mark the question as reviewed.
  5. Once the question is marked as reviewed then only those questions would be considered for the test creation.
  6. If the content is again edited by any user, then the content will again go into the content review process until  the content reviewer(s) mark it as reviewed.
